Restoring hope. Rebuilding identity. Raising strong men.
Too many boys in Uganda suffer silently under cultural expectations that push them to “be tough” while neglecting their emotional, social, and educational needs. Save a Boy exists to change this narrative.
Why It Matters
- Boys face stigma when showing vulnerability.
- Lack of mentorship leaves them vulnerable to crime, drugs, and dropping out.
- Many grow up without father figures or positive role models.
What We Do
We create safe spaces and opportunities for boys to heal, learn, and thrive:
- Mentorship programs with positive male role models.
- Educational support: scholarships, school supplies, tutoring.
- Life skills training: leadership, financial literacy, discipline.
- Emotional healing workshops: self-worth, communication, resilience.
- Sports & recreation: football, group activities for bonding.
Impact
- Reduced school dropouts among participating boys.
- Increased confidence, respect, and sense of responsibility.
- Positive role models shaping future men and fathers.
