About Us

Who we are

Him4Her Foundation is a community-rooted organization dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families in Uganda. We focus on addressing key challenges faced by boys, girls, and fathers to create lasting social change.

The Problem We See

Many young people in our communities face cycles of poverty, violence, and silence. Boys often struggle with emotional isolation and lack positive role models, while girls face barriers to education, leadership, and safety. Families are weakened by absent or unprepared fathers.

Why This Needs to Change

Without intervention, these issues continue across generations—limiting opportunities and reinforcing harmful social norms. Supporting only one group leaves the problem incomplete. To create sustainable change, we must uplift boys and girls together, while strengthening fathers to be active, responsible parents.

How We Work

Save a Boy – Providing mentorship, education support, and mental health services to vulnerable boys at risk of dropping out or harmful behaviors.
Strong Fathers, Strong Families – Training men to become nurturing, responsible fathers who contribute to family stability and community wellbeing.
Empower Her – Teaching girls leadership, digital and life skills, health education, and offering mentorship to empower their futures.
Our programs are designed to be achievable and impactful, working hand-in-hand with communities to ensure real change.
What We Need

To deliver these projects effectively, we need ongoing support through volunteers, mentors, partnerships, and resources. We also strive to build trust and transparency by demonstrating our results and being accountable to those we serve.

A Story of Impact: Ramathan’s Story

When Ramathan, a nine-year-old boy, was found sleeping on the streets of Gulu, his situation was urgent. Abandoned by his mother, mistreated by his stepmother, and with his father away as a soldier, Ramathan had no safe place to call home.

Recognizing his need for stability, Him4Her Foundation helped him return to school and find a supportive home with family in Palabek village in Lamwo. Now, Ramathan has a chance to grow, learn, and dream — a powerful example of how our Save a Boy project transforms lives one child at a time.
